October and Nov’ 25

Hello friends!

October was a month of big things- The biggest being the new art studio in my garden! My dear Granny passed away earlier in the year, and I was left some money in her will. It only seemed fitting that I invested this money and so took the leap and, after lots of research, my dream of a studio has become a reality.

My Granny loved my artwork and always knitted me jumpers to keep me warm, as she knew I painted in my FREEZING cold conservatory. I think she’d smile to know that she had a part to play in the evolution of my artwork, with this new studio. The new studio is my absolute sanctuary. It’s warm. It doesn’t leak. It makes me feel calm and inspired. It has a living sedum roof where little mushrooms grow which makes me smile. Working in there this winter is going to be a game changer. I’ll still wear my granny’s jumpers because, as she used to say, you can knit love into handmade jumpers. I hope this makes her smile too. I feel so grateful to have this beautiful space.

My studio is now open to visitors who may like to look at any original artwork in situ.

My newest acrylic original ‘Mornings at the Mount’ is now finished, and I love it. It’s moody and atmospheric, with beautiful light that lifts it. It needs to be framed and will then be listed on my website. If you’d like to make it your own in its unframed form, get in touch.

Right now, I have a free postage offer until Sunday on everything on my website. A great opportunity to stock up on your Christmas cards, or to grab some prints to give as beautiful Christmas gifts.

I am donating 10% of all of my online sales of Christmas cards to the charity Crisis this year. It’s the national charity for people experiencing homelessness, helping to provide warmth, safety and support to those facing homelessness and hardship this winter. So, your purchase won’t just brighten someone’s day when they open up their Christmas card- It’ll help bring comfort and hope to those who need it most on Christmas Day. My beautiful original watercolour ‘Cirencester in the Snow’ is now available to buy on my website here, priced at £195. It’s painted on beautiful 300gsm acid free paper and framed behind glass in a 12’’ by 16’’ frame, and, as with all my original artwork, comes with a certificate of authentication included.

As we’ve moved into November, I’m beginning to get very busy with Christmas markets. I’ll be at the Cornhall most Saturdays, a Sunday here and there, and will also be at the Malmesbury late night Christmas shopping evening on Friday 5th December- More details of all my dates are below. The Cirencester Christmas light switch on is on Saturday 29th November and is always heaving-Come and say hi to me in the Cornhall and spread some festive cheer!
