December 2025
Firstly, Merry Christmas :)
Here’s to peace, joy, kindness, art, a warm hug, mulled wine, feeling safe, creativity, playfulness and hope. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for following my art journey throughout 2025, for every purchase, every share on social media, and every supportive word this year.
And Wow. And what a year it’s been!
At the beginning of the year, back in January, I attended the ‘Giving and Living’ trade show in Devon, in the hopes of expanding the wholesale side of my business. 11 months later I’m now so proud to have multiple stockists all over the country, who sell my cards and prints. It’s a ‘pinch me’ moment really. This is definitely part of the business that I’d like to grow, and a goal for 2026 to double my stockists- if you know of any cute shops that you think my work would sell well in, please do let me know :)
A Cotswold Christmas’ Original Watercolour
My original painting ‘ A Cotswold Christmas’ found it’s new home, being snapped up online. I now have some gorgeous signed prints available here, and also some delightful Christmas cards here :)
Another new creation, a watercolour original called ‘A Christmas in Cirencester’ also sold this week. I have beautiful prints and Christmas cards available of this too, here and here. It makes me so so happy to know that people still value original artwork, and understand it’s value and importance in a world of ever increasing AI.
It’s been really fun to paint some local scenes of Cirencester this year, and people have really enjoyed seeing them, so it’s definitely something that I’m going to focus on more in 2026. I’m always looking for good reference photos to work from, so if you have any stored away on your phone and you wouldn’t mind me using them, ping them my way!

I popped into the Phoenix cafe this week and switched around some of my artwork for a more wintery theme- Do pop in if you live locally- They do a divine pistachio latte which I’m very partial to. Its been a lovely space to hang my work this year, and has been excellent for exposure too :)

Christmas markets have been BUSY and lots of fun. I now only have one more to do, which is this Thursday (11th December) at the Kings Water estate in Ashton Keynes from 5pm-8pm. It promises to be ever so festive, with mulled wine, market stalls , live illustration , a professional photographer to capture a christmassy family photo, and a live choir.
Once my markets are over, the rest of my December will be spent painting (and eating stollen), and I really REALLY can’t wait. I’m working on a few new pieces at once and I’m excited to be able to show them to you in the New Year.
And so I now leave you all, in this last blog of 2025, with this glorious photo of Cirencester in the morning sun. Cold, crisp, bright sunny days are my absolute favourite and this particular one made me feel all fizzy inside. I hope it makes you happy too.
Sending you all the happiest of wishes this Christmas time- Don’t be too busy to see the beauty in this world, and to be kind.
Charlotte
