June ‘26
Hello there friends,
Seeing as I almost forgot April and May’s blog, I thought I’d get on top of this one early!
The month kicked off with me visiting my paintings ‘Halycyon’ and ‘Cornish Glow’ at The Base Gallerys’ Summer exhibition, in Greenham. It was surreal handing my artwork over to the curator at the beginning of the month, and leaving it in their hands until the exhibition launched on the 6th June. Walking through the gorgeous selection of work and seeing my pieces hanging alongside was a pretty special moment.

A special trio; ‘Cornish Glow’. husband and little Syb
Dogs weren’t allowed in the gallery space but we managed to sneak Sybil in. This is a special photo to me, with my ever supporting husband and little dog admiring my work. It’s taken me a long time to get to this point, where a gallery has specifically chosen my work to hang in their own exhibition and I think its going to take some time to really sink in what an achievement this is. The exhibition runs for on more week, ending on Sunday 21st June- If you are in the area, do pop in- The cafe is very good too!
A huge chunk of June has been taken up by a big acrylic seascape commission that I’ve been working on, which included a person and their 2 dogs. It’s currently at the framers, and due to be handed over to the owner next month, so I’ll be able to show it to you all in July’s blog. I can however show you all the colours that I used to paint it- Take a look at my multiple easels below! I’m really proud of this particular painting and can’t wait to launch it out into the world!
For the remainder of June I’ll be finishing up a watercolour pet portrait commission of a sweet little pug, which will then be heading off to its new home. If you are interested in your own pet portrait, take a look at my brochure here for further details.
And finally, 4 paintings have now been delivered to the framers, and will be available to buy next month. All very different, but equally as stunning. I can’t wait to see how professional framing complements their overall finish.
Well, you are now completely up to date.. the only other exciting thing that has happened this month is that these stunning pink poppies have miraculously sprouted through the astroturf in my garden (!). Aren’t they beautiful. Art in flower form.
As always, thanks for following this creative little life of mine :)
