Growing up in Norfolk, I fell in love with the huge skies and spectacular sunsets and sunrises that take place over the flat landscape. The photo that inspired this glorious piece was taken by a friend, and when I saw it, it set my soul on fire and I just HAD to paint it. I love the intense colours in the sky and the familiarity of the muddy stubble field and the sense of awe that the piece depicts with the sky as the real show stopper.
