May 2025

May has been very kind to me so far.

The ‘ Coast and Countryside’ exhibition at the Corinium museum has been going well- A great big THANKYOU to those of you who came to my VIP opening viewing- We were having so much fun that I forgot to take any photos, but the youngest art fan by far was this little one, who very much enjoyed all the colours on show (but was mostly entranced by the polka dots on my dress!)

The exhibition only runs for a few more days, with its last day being this coming Sunday 25th May 2025. So, if you haven’t had a chance to have a look around, now is the time!

My daily painting ‘straightening’ session at the exhibition.

Two more original paintings have sold this month, which is very exciting indeed! I say good bye to mixed media painting ‘Messing about on the river’, as well as the showstopper ‘Sunset Showdown’. Both are particular loves of mine (and also couldn’t really be more different in terms of style!), and have been hanging in my own home for quite some time, as I have been secretly quite happy to keep them. Knowing that someone else loves them as much as me and also wants them on their walls makes me happy to see them go.

All of my current originals that are available to buy are listed on my website here if you fancied treating yourself to something VERY special!

Throughout May I’ve still been working on my latest oil painting, focusing on the reflections within the sea. It’s fast becoming one of my favourites. I’m itching to add the tiny boats that will eventually be the finishing touch on the horizon.. but Ive got a LONG way to go as it’s a BIG canvas!

I spent some time in Devon this month, walking another stretch of the South West Coast Path. It’s not an area that I know as well as my beloved Cornwall, and I was blown away by the beauty of the coastline. The particular bit that I walked started in Plymouth, and the stretch towards Bovisand, heading towards Salcombe, was simply divine. The sun shone, the sea sparkled, and the gorgeous red and pink valerian flowers that line the coastal path all along Cornwall and Devon were in full bloom. I felt very lucky and ever so happy to be there :)

I have some brand new offerings at my markets at the moment- The first being a multi frame of 5 of my A6 watercolour and sea salt print best sellers. It’s called ‘Sunrise to Sunset’ and is available at the introductory price of £55. If you would like to secure one, and can’t make it to one of my markets, ping me an email here.

I also now have a ‘Cotswold Trio’, for those of you who, like me, either live in and/or love the Cotswolds. Showcasing Cirencester Abbey Grounds, the Cotswold Lakes and the Cotswold Lavender farm. It’s at the introductory price of £35 and again, only available at my markets but if you would like one, contact me here.

Whilst on the subject of markets, my next upcoming art market will take place this coming Sunday 25th May 2025, at the Vintage and Artisan Fair which is taking place in the Cornhall in Cirencester. Do pop on by and say hi :)

And now, its time to crack on with a bit of painting!

Thankyou as always for your support and for following me on my arty journey
